Rest Home (Similar to Assited Living)

The Rest Home offers spacious bedrooms, fully accessible baths, visual/tactile security and signaling technology to ensure the best in comfort and security for its residents. Many of the rooms overlook the riverfront and neighboring marina.

Each room is cable and internet ready, with emergency pull cords by each bed to ensure a quick response as needed, by Certified Nursing Assistants.

Relocated to the first floor of this state-of-the-art building in 2004, the Rest Home benefits those who use walking assisted devices, such as a walker or wheelchair. The 3-winged unit offers a large comfortable activity/recreation room, with ample supplies of books, video classics with closed captioning, games, puzzles and a TV. Snacks are always available along with cold drinks, coffee and tea in the activities/recreation room.

Communication in American Sign Language is assured with a fully fluent ASL staff and interpreters for medical appointments both in and outside of the home.

Services included in the Rest Home are:

• Three delicious main meals, with seasonal menu changes and daily snacks

• Daily Housekeeping Services

• Laundry Services

• Medication Administration

• Certified Nurse Assistant services, which includes but is not limited to: wound care, blood pressure monitoring, first aid, diabetes screening, pain management and psychiatric consultation

• Wander Guard Security System

• In home rehabilitation including: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Food & Swallowing evaluations and therapy.

• Video Phone Service

• Helen Keller Resource Library of Braille and latest computer technology for low-vision

• Interpreter Services
